Riders to unveil new identity, ballpark changes Feb. 26
FRISCO, TEXAS (FEBRUARY 16, 2015) - The Frisco RoughRiders will make major announcements regarding the team's new identity and massive improvements to Dr Pepper Ballpark on Thursday, February 26. The team will make these announcements during a special ceremony at Cinemark Theatres in Frisco Square at 11:30 a.m.
[Note that, due to weather/travel concerns, the original date of the event has been changed from Tuesday, February 24 to Thursday, February 26.]
Since a new ownership group led by Chuck Greenberg and Scott Sonju purchased the franchise last year, the RoughRiders have strived to improve the fan experience at Dr Pepper Ballpark and begin a new era for the team. During the ownership's first home stand late last season, fans were treated to multiple giveaways, discounted concessions and merchandise, and an increased emphasis on making every RoughRiders game a special occasion. Tuesday's unveiling will be a milestone event in continuing this mission.
Opening Day 2015 is April 9 when the RoughRiders begin their season with a six-game home stand against the Arkansas Travelers and Northwest Arkansas Naturals. For tickets to see the RoughRiders in 2015, please call (972) 731-9200, e-mail [email protected], or visit www.RidersBaseball.com.
