AUGUSTA, GA: The Augusta GreenJackets, Single "A" affiliate of the San Francisco Giants are excited to see 13 GreenJacket Alumni in the 2016 MLB Postseason title chase. With the San Francisco Giants in a heated series with the Chicago Cubs, the GreenJackets were thrilled to see that there were seven alumni filling up the Giants 25-man roster and two alumni filling up the Cubs 25-man roster. The GreenJackets have a heavy appearance with alumni on six out of the eight teams that are chasing after the 2016 World Series Champions title chase. The only teams not to have a former GreenJacket making an appearance are the Texas Rangers and the Washington Nationals.
The Giants are back in the playoff chase for the fourth time in seven seasons. Chicago (Jon Lester), Los Angeles (Charlie Culberson), and Toronto (Joe Biagini) should all carry at least on former GreenJackets star. The full list of teams that are carrying GreenJackets standouts are below.
