Frederick, Md. (April, 14, 2026) – The Hudson Valley Renegades game with the Frederick Keys on Tuesday night at NYMEO Field at Harry Grove Stadium was suspended in the top of the third inning with the Renegades leading 4-2. The game will be resumed to its nine-inning conclusion as part of a quasi-doubleheader on Wednesday, with a seven-inning game to follow. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.

First pitch in the game was delayed by one hour, 18 minutes due to rain, and the game entered a second delay before the start of the top of the third when it began to rain again.

Hudson Valley scored four runs in the top of the first against Keys starter Twine Palmer, their second-highest scoring inning of the season, surpassed only by a five-run first inning at Brooklyn on 4/4.

The Renegades stole three bases in the first inning, and are up to 20 steals on the season through their first eight-plus games.

The game was the first game for Frederick as an affiliated team since 9/2/2019, a span of 2,417 days. The Keys had previously been the Orioles’ High-A affiliate from 1989-2020.

LHP Franyer Herrera (2.0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 2 HR) made his second start of the season, striking out four across 2.0 innings.

Herrera allowed solo home runs to Ike Irish and Victor Figueroa, his first two home runs allowed this year. Before this start, he had allowed only two home runs in 96.2 career innings.

Each time, Herrera bounced back to strike out two batters in the inning after the home run and limit the damage.

Herrera has nine strikeouts in 5.2 IP this year, and has fanned 31.0% of the batters he has faced this season.

1B Kyle West (1-for-1, R, 2B, 2 RBI) ripped a two-run single in the top of the first to put the Renegades in front.

West leads the Renegades with 7 RBIs on the season.

3B Roderick Arias (0-for-1, R, 2 SB) reached on a fielder’s choice and stole two bases to score on a sacrifice fly.

Arias is 6-for-7 on stolen base attempts this season, the most on the Renegades and tied for third-most in the South Atlantic League.
