Abel Fans 10 in Nightcap as Claws Sweep Pair in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE - The BlueClaws took two from Wilmingon on Friday, 2-0 in the conclusion of a game suspended on Thursday, and 3-0 in game two behind six scoreless innings from Mick Abel.

Game One (resumption of suspended game from Thursday)

Ben Brown threw four scoreless innings on Thursday and the BlueClaws completed the win with three scoreless innings from the bullpen, winning 2-0.

Cristian Hernandez (4-3) earned the win with two scoreless innings and Aidan Anderson threw a 1-2-3 seventh inning for his eighth save of the year.

The BlueClaws scored twice in the second inning, on RBI singles by Herbert Iser and Uziel Viloria.

Brown gave up one hit and struck out four over his four innings.

This was a seven inning game as it was originally game two of a scheduled double-header on Thursday.

Game Two

Mick Abel (6-7) struck out a career-high 10 over six scoreless innings as the BlueClaws took game two __.

Jersey Shore opened the scoring in a two-run first. Carlos De La Cruz was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded for the game's first run and Herbert Iser hit a SAC fly to give the BlueClaws a 2-0 lead.

Baron Radcliff hit a solo home run in the seventh, his seventh home run of the season, for a 3-0 lead.

After Abel, Albertus Barber, Andrew Schultz, and Jonathan Hughes each threw a scoreless inning with Hughes earning his fifth save of the season.

The BlueClaws had thrown three shutouts this season entering the night but have now thrown back to back and not allowed a run in their last 19 innings as a team.
