WILMINGTON, DE - Jordy Barley doubled home the winning run in the 10th inning on Sunday as the BlueClaws fell 4-3 in Wilmington.

The BlueClaws (27-47) dropped three of five in their series with the Blue Rocks (39-34), with one game rained out.

2021 Phillies first round pick Andrew Painter started for Jersey Shore and threw two scoreless innings in his first game action since June 12th. He was reinstated from the Development List on Saturday.

Barley's double came off Jonathan Hughes (0-1), who took the loss. The runner who scored started the inning at second base and the run was unearned.

Jersey Shore tied the game in the eighth on a solo home run by Rixon Wingrove, his sixth of the season. The BlueClaws had opened a 2-0 lead early in the game. Carlos De La Cruz and Ethan Wilson executed a double steal on which Wilson stole home.

Wilmington got three runs off Ben Brown in the fifth, one on a balk and two on a double by Drew Mendoza.

Brown went seven innings, his longest outing of the season, and struck out 10.

The loss was the sixth in walk-off fashion suffered by the BlueClaws so far this season.

Jersey Shore heads home and will welcome in Hudson Valley for a series beginning July 4th at ShoreTown Ballpark.
