BlueClaws Searching for Host Families
LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws are once again looking for local families to assist in housing players during the 2016 baseball season.
Anyone can help provide lodging for this year's BlueClaws team by either providing space or renting a room/apartment. The BlueClaws have typically received strong support from the community about hosting BlueClaws players. However, a pool of nearly 30 homes is needed to house the entire team throughout the season.
"Our Host Families and players have, over the years, built friendships and bonds that last a lifetime," said Steve Farago, the team's Vice President of Baseball Operations and Special Events. "The Host Family Program is integral to our operation and we look forward to working with great families again this year."
The BlueClaws are always looking to add to their list of host families, especially in homes where Spanish is spoken, because of the number of Latin American players in the organization.
The 2016 regular season runs from April 7th through September 5th and players typically range from 18-24 years of age.
If families are interested in hosting a player, or with any questions about the Host Family program, contact JoAnne Bell at 732-901-7000 ext 100 or email [email protected].
The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore's top stop for affordable, family entertainment. They have led the South Atlantic League in attendance in all 15 years of existence.
2016 ticket packages and group outings are currently on sale by calling 732-901-7000 option 3 or online at BlueClaws.com.
