A 2002 BlueClaw, Howard was the first former BlueClaw to debut in the big leagues when he did so on September 1, 2004. He was the 2005 NL Rookie of the Year and the 2006 NL MVP.
A 2002 BlueClaw, Floyd debuted with the Phillies two days after Howard did in 2004. The Phillies first-round pick in 2001, Floyd pitched 13 seasons in the big leagues.
Hamels pitched to a sub-1 ERA over 13 starts in 2003. He would later go on to a distinguished big league career that included being named 2008 World Series MVP as part of the Phillies title that season.
