GREENSBORO, NC - Marcus Lee Sang led off the game with a home run but the BlueClaws fell 6-3 to Greensboro on Thursday night at First National Bank Field.

Jersey Shore (39-66) had taken the first two games in the six game series from Greensboro (45-58) before the defeat on Thursday night.

Lee Sang, who joined the BlueClaws last week, hit his third Jersey Shore home run after he hit two in a win on Saturday at ShoreTown Ballpark.

The Grasshoppers, however, responded with back to back home runs from Luke Brown (1) and Jase Bowen (1) in the bottom of the first inning of Jersey Shore starter Kyle Glogoski. Bowen added an RBI groundout in the third for a 3-1 lead.

Kendall Simmons, who like Lee Sang, joined the BlueClaws last week, hit his second BlueClaws home run, in the fourth inning to cut the lead to 3-2.

Greensboro added another run off Glogoski in the fifth on a SAC fly from Luke Brown. Baron Radcliff drove in a run with a groundout in the seventh. The Grasshoppers added two more, both unearned, off Erubiel Armenta in the bottom of the seventh.

Hoppers starter Justin Meis (2-4) earned the win, allowing two runs in six innings while striking out six.

Glogoski (0-4) took the loss, allowing four runs, three earned, over six innings of work and also striking out six. Jason Ruffcorn threw 1.2 innings of scoreless relief for Jersey Shore.

Eddy Yean got the last six outs to earn his fourth save of the season.

The teams continue their series on Friday night at 6:30 pm. RHP Mick Abel starts for Jersey Shore.
