September 1, 2016

LANSING, Mich. - On Wednesday night at Cooley Law School Stadium, the Lansing Lugnuts welcomed Bill Johnston, their 8,000,000th fan and Michigan Lottery Lucky Lugnut!

Bill and his wife, Jenny, were greeted at the East Gate with a massive balloon drop, confetti cannons and a prize pack from the Lansing Lugnuts and the Michigan Lottery.

"1996 was not so long ago," said Lansing Lugnuts general manager Nick Grueser, "but 8,000,000 fans and counting speaks for itself. We're proud to thank and celebrate Bill, Jenny and you, the millions of fans who have supported us."

Bill and Jenny Johnston were part of a crowd of 4,704 that watched the Lugnuts push past the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 3-1.
