Parsons previously served as GM of the Johnson City Cardinals from 2014-17, and the team saw an increase in attendance, ticket sales and corporate sales in each of his four seasons. The Cardinals set the organization's single-season attendance record in 2016 and again in 2017. The team also set a single-game attendance record in 2017 when a record crowd of 3,549 fans attended the game on July 3rd. Parsons was promoted to Vice President/General Manager prior to the 2017 season. Johnson City also enjoyed success on the field, as the team won the 2014 and 2016 Appalachian League Championships.
Prior to Johnson City, Parsons spent two years in the Coastal Plain League as the GM of the Martinsville Mustangs and Director of Fun with the Forest City Owls. He also served as the Ticket Sales Coordinator at Central Michigan and Sports Information Director at Mid Michigan Community College. Tyler is a graduate of Central Michigan University and is a native of Dansville, Michigan. He resides in Lansing.
