With their biggest offensive performance of the season, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans took their third game in a row with a 15-2 smashing of the Lynchburg Hillcats on Wednesday night. With the win, the Pelicans moved up to 6-10 while the Hillcats dropped to 8-9.

It was a massive day for the lineup as the Pelicans racked up a season-high 15 runs off 12 hits. Chris Paciolla (1-5, HR, 2 RBI) hit a solo homer in the fourth for his first of the season. Carter Trice (2-5, HR, 2B, 2 RBI) smashed his second homer of the season on a two-run shot in the sixth. Cristian Hernandez (1-4, 2B, 2 RBI, BB) also extended his hitting streak to 12 while bringing home a pair of runs. Seven of the 12 hits for the Pelicans were extra in the win.

Myrtle Beach used just three pitchers as reliever Ty Johnson (1-0) picked up the win with one earned run allowed in his 3 2/3 innings. Starter Nick Dean struck out five across four innings with an earned run and just two hits allowed.

Lynchburg was held to just six hits with two coming from Wuilfredo Antunez (2-4, 2B, RBI) who brought home a run on a double in the fourth. The other RBI came from Juan Benjamin (1-4, RBI) on a single in the seventh.

The loss went to starter Alex Clemmey (0-3) after sacrificing six earned runs in his outing that lasted just shy of four frames. Abel Brito gave up seven more runs with five being earned in just 1 1/3 innings.

The Pelicans take their three-game winning streak to the third game of the series on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
