(Reading, PA) - The Reading Fightin Phils, Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, will return to the field in their popular jerseys on Throwback Thursdays in 2026. The uniforms will evoke the 1980s era of Phillies baseball with the throwback "R" and other elements from the Mike Schmidt era.
The Throwback Jerseys will be worn by Reading for Thursday home games in 2026. On Thursdays, it will be “Reading Phillies Throwback Thursday,” presented by Berks Career and Technology Center, Renewal By Anderson of Central PA, and Berks Oral Surgery.
As the Fightin Phils celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Phillies affiliation, the history of the R-Phils will be recognized throughout the season. A large part of the history is the early days of the Reading-Philadelphia affiliation, which featured a logo similar to the one the Fightin Phils will use in 2026. The "throwback P" logo was the Phillies primary logo worn on their jerseys from the early-1970s through the early 1990s. As the Phillies occasionally wear the throwback logo and jersey, the Fightin Phils will follow suit this season.
Our 10 2026 Throwback Thursday games will be on the following dates:
Apr. 23, May 7, May 28, June 11, June 18, July 2, July 30, Aug. 13, Aug. 27, and Sept. 10.

The Fightin Phils return to FirstEnergy Stadium to open the 2026 season on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:45 p.m., against the Hartford Yard Goats, Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. Single-game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at rphils.com/tickets, by calling 610-370-BALL or in-person at the Customer's Bank Ticket Office.
