Fightin Phils Take on the Harrisburg Senators in Upcoming Home Series

Tuesday, April 29 through Thursday, May 1 are Unused Tickets Game. Any Fightin Phils unused ticket can be used as general admission thanks to Baseballtown Charities. On Wednesday, April 30 the second Tasting Festival at the Deck thanks to Classic Harley Davidson is takes place. Post-game fireworks sponsored by your local Kia dealers will go off following the conclusion of the game on Friday, May 2. The post-game fireworks on Saturday, May 3 are presented by Adams & Associates. Closing out the series is an R-Phils Mascots & Characters Meet & Greet Autograph & Photo Session for ALL Kids starting at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 4 thanks to ROG Orthodontics.
This is the first meeting between the Fightin Phils and the Harrisburg Senators for the 2025 season. They met a total of 12 times over two series during the 2024 season. Reading went 7-5 for the season against the Senators. Top prospects shortstop Aidan Miller and RHP Jarlin Susana will meet during this matchup.
The Fightin Phils are returning from their away series against the Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Red Sox, where the Sea Dogs took four of the games played with two games postponed due to weather. This was the second time the Fightin Phils and the Sea Dogs met this season, as Reading played Portland during their home opening series of the season. Chuck King had his best outing of the season during the series with a career-high five innings, allowing no runs and just one hit. Felix Reyes had his season-high three hits while Reading gained their season-high 14 hits collectively.
The Senators finished up their home series on Sunday against the Erie SeaWolves, Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, and went 2-4 with the SeaWolves taking the series. In the final game of this series, the Senators rallied from a 4-1 deficit to win 5-4 in extra innings thanks to their late push in the eighth and ninth innings. That was Harrisburg’s second meeting with the SeaWolves as they were also the Senators’ opening series opponent.
Top 30 Washington Nationals prospects include: RHP Jarlin Susana, outfielder Daylen Lile, third baseman Cayden Wallace, first and third baseman Yohandy Morales, RHP Marquis Grissom Jr., and shortstop Kevin Made.
Starting for Reading on Tuesday is RHP Eiberson Castellano who will face off against RHP Jarlin Susana. RHP Moises Chace will take the mound next on Wednesday, going opposite of RHP Hyun-il Choi. RHP Jean Cabrera steps up on Thursday against LHP Dustin Saenz. RHP Chuck King is slated to start on Friday with RHP Gabe Mosser following on Saturday. Friday and Saturday’s starting pitchers for Harrisburg are still to be announced. Finishing out the series on Sunday will be RHP Eiberson Castellano and RHP Jarlin Susana facing off for the second time of the series.
Following the end of this home series, the Fightin Phils hit the road to take on the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets, for their second meeting of the season. Reading returns home starting on Tuesday, May 13 at 12:00pm for their series against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.
