Fightin Phils to Play as Reading Keystones for 2024 Throwback Thursday's

(Reading, PA) - The Reading Fightin Phils, Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, will again wear their Reading Keystone uniforms for the 2024 season. The throwback jersey was introduced prior to the 2023 season to celebrate the 275th anniversary of the city of Reading.
The Keystone Jerseys will be worn by Reading for every Thursday home game in 2024. On Thursday’s, it will be “Throwback Thursday,” presented by Berks Career and Technology Center, H&F Heating and Cooling, Rip it Baseballtown Charities and Lavelle Law Firm.
In 1923, the Reading Aces changed their named to the Keystones to further connect with the state of Pennsylvania. The Keystones called Reading home from 1923 to 1932. Over those years, they were mostly an independent team, but were affiliated with the Cubs from 1927-30.
The Keystones played their home games at Lauer’s Park, which is now a school and has added a baseball field, built by the R-Phils in recent years. This year, Reading will again pay homage to the Keystones in continuation of the 275th Anniversary of the city of Reading.
Our 11 2024 Throwback Thursday games will be on the following dates:
Apr. 11, Apr. 25, May 9, May 23, June 6, June 13, June 27, July 11, Aug. 1, Aug. 15 and Sept. 5.

The Reading Fightin Phils return to FirstEnergy Stadium on Tuesday, April 9, to open the 2024 season against the Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox).
