(Reading, PA) - The Reading Fightin Phils, Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, are excited to share its brand-new two-million-dollar video board, along with a ribbon board, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Fans can get their first glimpse of the new boards on Opening Night, April 9.

FirstEnergy Vision, located in left-center field, is a part of the $45 million FirstEnergy Stadium expansion project that features the Redner's Event Center. In total, the video board, and subsequent left-field ribbon board, is a $2 million portion of the project.

FirstEnergy Vision will feature brighter and clearer images than ever before seen at America's Classic Ballpark. It is also a larger size than the previous video board, so the board will have the ability to display even more than before. The new ribbon board remains the same size as before, but it's location in left field will now be located above the advertising billboard, as opposed to below as in prior years.

On FirstEnergy Vision, it will display the inning-by-inning line score, the count and outs to the left of that, and the pitch type/speed to the right of the score. Previously, the line score was located on the left-field ribbon board, but moving it to the main video board will allow for better use of the ribbon board in 2024 and beyond. Fans can get the pitch speed in two locations for the first time ever as well. Fans can get it on the bottom right corner of the video board, along with pitch count, and also on the Fromm Speed of Pitch in right field, directly beneath the RACC Train Sign. For the first time ever fans can get the pitch type, along with the speed of pitch.

Above the line score, fans can get up-to-the minute stats and information on each batter for both teams, along with crystal clear headshots and action shots of each player. The stats are powered by a new statistical tracking system, thanks to Daktronics. Pre-game, post-game and in-between inning entertainment will be better than ever before with the brand-new video board and ribbon board. Atop the new videoboard will be a brand-new FirstEnergy Stadium sign.

Fans can catch their first glimpse of the new boards when Reading returns home to begin the 2024 season on Tuesday, April 9, against the Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox). First pitch for Opening Night is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. Fans can get tickets at rphils.com/tickets, by calling 610-370-BALL, or at the Customer's Bank Ticket Office. For fans who can't make it out to the game, you can listen at rphils.com/radio, or watch on Bally Live or MiLB TV.
