Nick Singleton, Joey Schlaffer and J'Ven Williams to highlight Penn State Night on June 17

(Reading, PA) - Penn State running back Nick Singleton, along with Nittany Lions Joey Schlaffer and J'Ven Williams are coming to Baseballtown on June 17 for the Penn State Celebration and Tribute to Penn State Football. The Nittany Lions' and local standouts will be available for a free meet & greet to fans in attendance.
Fans will be able to meet all three Nittany Lions before the R-Phils matchup with the Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies) beginning at approximately 5:15 until 6:00. Fans will be able to have their photo taken for free with Singleton. Also, fans will be able to receive free autographs and photos with both Williams and Schlaffer. The Tompkins Plaza opens at 4:45 and main gates at 5:45. First pitch is scheduled for 6:45.
Singleton is from nearby Shillington and was a standout at Governor Mifflin High School. He enjoyed a stellar first season with Penn State, accumulating over 1,000 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. His 12 rushing touchdowns was a Penn State freshman record and Singleton joined Saquan Barkley as the only Penn State running backs to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards in their freshman seasons.
This will not be Singleton's first visit to FirstEnergy Stadium. He appeared at an R-Phils game last summer and threw out the ceremonial first pitch. We are excited to welcome one of the best running backs in the country back to Reading this summer.
Joining Singleton in the R-Phils tribute to Penn State football are J'Ven Williams and Joey Schlaffer. Williams, an offensive lineman, joined the Penn State football team this winter after a standout career at Wyomissing High School. Schlaffer joined Williams in enrolling at Penn State this winter after the tight end shined at nearby Exeter Township Senior High School.
Additionally, the night will feature a Carpenter MEGA BLAST FIREWORKS shows, which is the largest fireworks show in stadium history. Come celebrate Penn State Football and meet many standout Nittany Lions, while also enjoying the best fireworks around.
