Albuquerque, NM. - The Albuquerque Isotopes hit four home runs en route to a 5-1 victory on Saturday Night. Aces starter Troy Scribner got the start for Greg Gross. The right-hander went six innings, allowed five runs on five hits (four home runs) and fell to 2-2 this season. Offensively, third baseman Cody Decker went 2-for-3 and was one of just two Aces players with multiple hits. The loss brings Reno to a record of 18-25 and an opportunity to split the four-game series tomorrow afternoon.
Mike Tauchman had a career night (2-for-3, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 2 R). Tauchman hit his 7th home run of the season tonight in the bottom of the 4th inning off Aces starter Troy Scribner. Just two innings later, Tauchman launched his 8th, a two-run homer, to give Albuquerque a 5-1 advantage. The score would remain the same with the Albuquerque pitching staff keeping Reno in check. The Aces will try again tomorrow afternoon with the first pitch slated for 12:35 p.m. at Isotopes Park. Reno needs a win tomorrow to split the four-game series before heading to Fresno, California for another four-game set.
