OFFICIAL: BANANA BALL COMING TO ESL BALLPARK IN 2027

ROCHESTER, NY – Banana Ball is headed to Rochester in 2027. The Texas Tailgaters and Loco Beach Coconuts will take the field at ESL Ballpark July 2nd and 3rd, bringing the fast-paced Banana Ball Championship League experience to the Flower City.

Rochester’s selection was announced Thursday night during the 2027 Banana Ball Selection Show, broadcast nationally on ESPN2 and streamed on the official Banana Ball YouTube channel.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be able to provide this incredible entertainment experience to fans in 2027” said Rochester Red Wings President, CEO and COO NAOMI SILVER. “Rochester has been clamoring for the opportunity to see the outstanding Banana Ball performers, and we have worked for some time to bring them to ESL Ballpark. We are excited to make this happen and know it will be a huge hit for all.”

Created by the Savannah Bananas, Banana Ball is a fans-first version of baseball built around nonstop action and entertainment. Its 11 rules include a two-hour time limit, a point awarded for winning each inning, no walks and an out recorded when a fan cleanly catches a foul ball. Games also feature choreographed celebrations, trick plays and extensive fan participation.

Rochester fans will see two of the Banana Ball Championship League's six teams, each with its own distinct style. The Texas Tailgaters bring a Texas-inspired atmosphere featuring country music and line dancing, while the Loco Beach Coconuts combine a tropical theme with high-energy entertainment and showmanship.

“We have been working on bringing Banana Ball to our community and our amazing fans for about four years, so we are incredibly excited to host these entertaining events at ESL Ballpark in 2027,” said Red Wings General Manager DAN MASON.

Fans seeking individual tickets must enter the Banana Ball Ticket Lottery by 11:59 p.m. ET on October 31, 2026. Entering does not guarantee the opportunity to purchase tickets. A random drawing will determine which fans receive access, and those selected will receive purchasing instructions directly from Banana Ball.

Standard tickets begin at $35, with Meet and Greet tickets beginning at $125. Banana Ball tickets are sold only through its official lottery and Fans First ticketing platform.

A limited number of 10-person and 16-person suites, along with larger hospitality areas, will be available for each game. These premium spaces will be sold directly by the Rochester Red Wings and are separate from the Banana Ball Ticket Lottery.
