The Plates took the lead in the bottom half of the first for the third consecutive game, courtesy of a two-run double off the bat of DH Wilson Garcia. CF Cody Wilson launched a solo shot an inning later, his first Triple-A home run, to extend the lead to three.

Worcester answered with a power surge in the third, plating four runs via three home runs to take a 4-3 lead after three innings. SS Richie Martin tied the game in the fourth on an RBI double, and the Plates retook the lead two batters later, as Cody Wilson laid down a safety squeeze to bring in 3B Jeter Downs. Two more runners came around to score on a fielder's choice and an error to give Rochester a 7-4 lead through four innings of play.

The Plates offense stayed hot in the fifth, as Richie Martin roped his second RBI double of the night to extend the lead to four. Worcester cut into the lead in the seventh, scoring a run on a fielder’s choice to make the score 8-5. Rochester blew the game open in the bottom of the eighth, as Cody Wilson connected on his second homer of the night, a grand slam to swell the lead to 12-5. Worcester scored a pair of runs in the ninth to close the gap, but it wasn’t enough as the Plates took home the win, 12-7.

RHP Paolo Espino (2-1, 2.76) took the ball to start the game for the Plates and earned his second consecutive win.
