ROME, GA - The Rome Braves returned to the Peach State on Tuesday night to open a six game slate with the Hickory Crawdads.

Cedric De Grandpre would make his AdventHealth Stadium debut after being promoted from Low-A Augusta just one week ago. In his High-A debut in Bowling Green, De Grandpre would hurl five and two thirds of shutout ball with four strike outs against the defending league champions. Tuesday's opener against Hickory would be a different story as De Grandpre would only go four and a third of an inning while getting tagged for two runs on five hits.

Hickory would get the ball rolling in the game's opening frame with a Max Acosta single that would score Alejandro Osuna.

Neither squad would score again until the top half of the fifth as Tucker Mitchell drove in Alejandro Osuna to make the score two runs to nothing in favor of the Crawdads.

Despite only needing two, Hickory would tack on three more runs thanks to strong efforts from Abimelec Ortiz, Frainyer Chavez, and Alejandro Osuna.

Bryson Horne would drive in Rome's only run of the night with a sacrifice fly in the home half of the seventh.

The Braves and Crawdads will continue the series on Wednesday with a 7:00pm first pitch.
