Garrett Baumann hurled 76 pitches in just three innings or work. William Silva struggled in two innings of relief, seeing four runs (three earned) cross the plate. Fellow reliever Ryan Bourassa extended his scoreless innings streak to 6.0 innings (3 appearances). He struck out ten over those six innings.
Andrew Taylor’s 2025 debut and return from an elbow issue lasted 3.0 innings. His replacement, Manuel Urias, dazzled over 4.1 innings, holding the Emperors hitless and striking out three.
Should Rome fail to score Friday night, a new franchise record would be set for the Asheville Tourists who would have held an opponent scoreless for 27.0 consecutive innings.
The lineup behind Didier Fuentes looks to get things back on track Friday.
