The Express tallied the game’s first run in the third after both teams were held scoreless through the first two frames. Round Rock loaded the bases following a walk to C Cooper Johnson and singles from LF Alejandro Osuna and 3B Cam Cauley. Johnson scored from third on 2B John Taylor’s sacrifice fly to give the E-Train an early one-run edge.

Round Rock loaded the bases once again in the fourth for CF Orlando Martinez. Martinez worked a walk to extend the lead to two.

Albuquerque cut the deficit to one in the top of the sixth courtesy of an RBI single from 1B Edouard Julian. The Express responded with a run in the bottom half of the inning after RF Aaron Zavala tripled and then scored on a sacrifice fly from DH Diego Castillo.

The Isotopes scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take their first lead of the game. C Bryant Betancourt doubled to score a run, and LF Adael Amador followed with an RBI triple to tie the game at three. RF Tyler Freeman capped off the inning with a sacrifice fly, scoring Amador from third and giving the visitors a 4-3 advantage.

SS Keyber Rodriguez started the ninth inning by reaching on a throwing error from SS Chad Stevens. Two batters later, Johnson worked a walk to put runners at first and second. With a full count and down to two outs, Osuna laced a double to left-center field, scoring both runners and giving the Express a walk-off victory on Tuesday night. Round Rock claims the series opener in walk-off fashion, 5-4.
