Virtual media availability will be held prior to on-field stretching and following batting practice, up to one hour prior to game time. Virtual media availability will resume approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of each game. Virtual interviews will be recorded and made available to the media.
To request a virtual interview, please contact Round Rock Express Manager, PR & Communications Andrew Felts via email at [email protected] or by phone at (512) 238-2213.
Under no circumstances are credentialed media members permitted to seek autographs or personal photographs. Violation of this policy will result in the dismissal of the media member from Dell Diamond and confiscation of the violator’s media credential.
Per Major League Baseball’s initial media regulations for the 2021 season, access to the field, including camera wells, will not be permitted. Media members will instead be permitted to cover games from the press box, seating bowl and other approved off-field locations at Dell Diamond, provided they wear a mask at all times and do not obstruct the view of any fans sitting in their ticketed seats. The press box at Dell Diamond will only be available to working credentialed media.
Media members will not be permitted in restricted areas or in close proximity to Tier 1 individuals, which include all players, on-field personnel and other staff who need direct physical contact with players. Restricted areas are sections and routes within Dell Diamond utilized by Tier 1 personnel, including clubhouses, locker rooms, playing fields, dugouts, bullpens, training rooms, weight rooms and interview rooms.
Media members will be allowed into Dell Diamond no earlier than 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start of each game and must leave the ballpark no later than 90 minutes following the conclusion of each game.
Media members must agree to observe all rules and other precautionary steps that are in place to preserve health and safety set forth by Major League Baseball and the Round Rock Express. Media members must wear approved face coverings over their nose and mouth at all times while present at Dell Diamond, whether indoors or outdoors. Failure to comply with any health and safety initiatives will result in a loss of access to Dell Diamond.
