ROUND ROCK, Texas – Round Rock Express 1B Blaine Crim was named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week for March 31-April 6, as announced by Minor League Baseball on Monday afternoon. Crim is the first member of the E-Train to earn a league honor this season.

The right-hander slashed .520 (13-for-25)/.600/.880/1.480 with four doubles, a triple, a home run, nine RBI, seven runs scored, five walks and only two strikeouts. He is now hitting .459 (17-for-37) in his first nine games of 2025.

He leads the PCL in batting average (.459), on-base percentage (.524) and hits (17) while he is tied for second in doubles (5) and he is third in OPS (1.254). On balls that have gone for a hit, he owns an average exit velocity of 99.3 miles per hour which is the highest in the PCL among players with at least nine hits.

The Mobile, Alabama native has a 14-game hitting streak dating back to the end of last season. On Wednesday, April 2 against Toledo, Crim posted his first three-hit game of the season and belted a walk-off home run to left field. He finished 3-for-4 with a triple, a home run, four RBI, a run scored and a walk.

He came back the next day and went 2-for-4 with two RBI, a walk and a strikeout. He was also intentionally walked in extra innings. On April 4, Crim put together his fifth, four-hit game of his Express career when he finished 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored. His fourth and final multi-hit game of the week came on Sunday when he went 2-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI, a run scored and two walks.

The former 19th round selection in 2019 from Mississippi College is 15 RBI away from 200 for his career with the E-Train. He'd become the ninth Express player to ever reach the 200-RBI mark and he is seven home runs away from 50 bombs in his E-Train career. Only six Round Rock players have reached 50 home runs.

The Express return to Dell Diamond tomorrow afternoon at 12:05 p.m. CT against the Oklahoma City Comets (Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate). For more information on the Express, visit RRExpress.com or call (512) 255-2255. Keep up with the Express on Facebook, Instagram and X!
