Alumni Weekend Highlights Upcoming Express Homestand

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express return home on Tuesday, July 26 for an eight-game homestand that features a celebration of current and former E-Train greats. First up, the Express will play host to the Omaha Storm Chasers (Kansas City Royals affiliate) in a four-game set before turning their attention to the Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals affiliate) for another four-game series.  

The first 2,500 fans through the gates on Thursday, July 28 will receive a custom E-Train reusable grocery bag, presented by H-E-B. Thursday's game is also Baylor Night at Dell Diamond. The Express will celebrate the Green and Gold as Baylor baseball head coach Steve Rodriguez as well as former BU quarterback and current Cedar Ridge High School head coach Shawn Bell will be on hand for ceremonial first pitches. Baylor alum and "The Voice" finalist Holly Tucker will perform the national anthem.

Next up, Round Rock will welcome former Express greats back to Dell Diamond for Alumni Weekend. Festivities begin on Friday with Alumni Night, capped off by Bud Light Friday Fireworks. Then on Saturday, fans will want to be in their seats early as Roy Oswalt will be inducted into the Round Rock Express Hall of Fame prior to the team's 7:05 p.m. game against the Redbirds. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will also receive a replica Roy Oswalt Hall of Fame plaque, presented by St. David's Round Rock Medical Center.

In addition to Oswalt, former E-Train greats scheduled to be in attendance are Anthony Acevedo, Micah Bowie, Travis Driskill, Mike Freer, Mike Gallo, Ray King, Denny McDaniel, Ryan McKeller, Jackie Moore, Mark Saccomanno, Tom Shearn and Barry Wesson. Mandy Coolbaugh, wife of Mike Coolbaugh, as well as their three children are also scheduled to be in attendance. Express alumni will be available for autographs during the first and second innings on Friday.

The team will wrap up the eight-game homestand with the first-ever AUGtoberfest at Dell Diamond on Monday, August 1. Beer, brats and baseball will come together for a unique celebration of German heritage. Fans can purchase a special AUGtoberfest ticket using the promo code "stein" right here. The $20 ticket is good for admission to the game, a Round Rock Express beer stein, as well as entrance to a special beer tasting in the United Heritage Center, thanks to Brown Distributing.
