Ryan Sanders Sports Services Introduces RS3 University

In-Depth Training Program Focuses on Industry Trends, Customer Service, and releasing the power of "Yes!"
March 11, 2014

ROUND ROCK, Texas - Ryan Sanders Sports Services (RS3), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ryan Sanders Baseball, recently kicked off its inaugural in-depth employee training program RS3 University (RS3U). The unique program, a requirement for every food service employee, supervisor and non-profit volunteer of RS3, focuses on honing guest service and food preparation to enhance guest experiences based on classic core values centered around quality and local hospitality.

The ever-changing six-week curriculum is based on industry trends and new innovations, but at its core the program is a multi-course training that encompasses company values, customer service, table service, ServSafe® food safety and handling, responsible alcohol service, health department training, sanitation, menu specifications and other needs.

"Our approach to continuing education and perpetual training is the same for our day-of-game employees as it is for our management staff," said RS3 President George King. "We've devised this training program to be conducted over the course of several months during the offseason as a living, breathing program that keeps our frontline staff engaged in guest service and improving the fan experience year round."

Austin and the entire Central Texas area is a city in transition and nowhere is that more apparent than the food scene. As a family-owned company with strong Austin roots and networks, RS3 intends to strengthen and reinforce its local culinary staff to ensure that it achieves and maintains the highest level of culinary talent.

"As part of our never-ending pursuit of perfection for the fan experience, we are perpetually learning and improving," said RS3 Director of Food and Beverage Jay Kudla. "Some of the industry-specific coursework introduced into RS3U curriculum includes wine tasting and paring, table-scaping, innovation, event planning, viticulture, mixology and sustainability."

As a second phase of this program, RS3U will be creating and implementing a brand new post-season Culinary Academy which will continue to cross-train its various company chefs at all levels, leverage its culinary artisans within its network and create an internship education program with the local culinary arts schools. The intent is to be a foundation of premium artisans of world class distinction.

RS3 is currently looking to add to its seasonal staff. For more information and to apply for a position, please call (512) 255-2255 or visit the Express front office during normal business hours.
