MEMPHIS, Tennessee - For the second night in a row, the Tennessee weather has spoiled plans to play baseball. Tonight's series opener between the Round Rock Express (9-5) and Memphis Redbirds (7-7) has been postponed due to rain. Last night's Round Rock at Nashville contest was suspended in the second inning due to rain as well.
The Express and Redbirds will meet in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 20 beginning at 4:35 p.m. E-Train LHP Cionel Pérez (0-0, 4.26) is set to face 'Birds RHP Alex Reyes (1-0, 0.00) in game one before Round Rock RHP Rogelio Armenteros (1-0, 2.89) does battle with Memphis LHP Austin Gomber (1-0, 4.70) in game two. The second contest will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Both games will be seven innings in length.
After the conclusion of the current four-game series in Memphis, Round Rock returns home for a five-game homestand against the New Orleans Baby Cakes (Miami Marlins affiliate) on Wednesday, April 24. First pitch in the series opener at Dell Diamond is set for 7:05 p.m.
