ROUND ROCK, Texas – On Saturday, March 21, the Round Rock Express, Nolan Ryan Foundation & RS3 Turf joined the Houston Astros Foundation, Major League Baseball, San Antonio Missions, Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and the Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country to celebrate the grand opening of the newly rebuilt Ingram Little League Ballpark following the devastating flooding in July 2025.

The event marked the official debut of the nearly $3 million project which now features three primary fields, two practice fields, upgraded batting cages and enhanced amenities designed to serve the Ingram Little League community for years to come.

The Express and Nolan Ryan Foundation were proud to support the effort as part of a broader commitment to Central Texas communities. The rebuilding initiative, which was first announced in September 2025, brought together organizations from across the state to provide both immediate relief and long-term investment in the region.

“Being part of this project means a great deal to our organization,” Express President Chris Almendarez said. “The Round Rock Express are deeply connected to the Central Texas community and we’re honored to play a role in helping restore a place where so many young athletes create lifelong memories. Seeing these fields come back to life is incredibly special.”

Saturday’s grand opening celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony, remarks from community leaders, a ceremonial first pitch and exhibition games featuring local Ingram Little League teams.

“The collaboration across so many organizations made this possible,” Executive Director of the Nolan Ryan Foundation Mary Conley Thompson said. “This ballpark represents resilience, community and a fresh start for hundreds of families in the area.”

The Express and Nolan Ryan Foundation remain committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen youth baseball and provide opportunities for the next generation of players across Central Texas.

The home opener at Dell Diamond is slated for Tuesday, March 31 against the Gwinnett Stripers (Atlanta Braves affiliate) at 7:05 p.m. For more information on the Express, visit RRExpress.com or call (512) 255-2255. Keep up with the Express on Facebook, Instagram and X!
