Harris Hits for the Cycle as Round Rock Bludgeons Salt Lake, 21-2
SOUTH JORDAN, Utah - BOX SCORE HOW IT HAPPENED: Round Rock opened the scoring with two runs on two hits in the top of the second. SS Billy McKinney led off the inning with a single then RF Kellen Strahm sent him around on a double in the left-center gap.

Round Rock opened the scoring with two runs on two hits in the top of the second. SS Billy McKinney led off the inning with a single then RF Kellen Strahm sent him around on a double in the left-center gap. Strahm later swiped third for his 22nd stolen base of the year and C Chad Wallach drove him in on a sacrifice fly for a 2-0 Express lead.
Express 3B Cody Freeman led off the third with a double and 2B Justin Foscue followed with a single. Both Freeman and Foscue came around to score on a Salt Lake SS David Mershon throwing error and Round Rock doubled their lead to 4-0.
In the fourth, the E-Train added three more with a CF Dustin Harris RBI double and a Foscue homer for a 7-0 edge.
Salt Lake got on the board in the bottom of the fourth as DH Carter Kieboom drove CF Kyren Paris in on a single to make it 7-1.
The Bees added another run with a C Zach Humphreys RBI single that cut the deficit to 7-2. Freeman opened the sixth with a solo home run to extend Round Rock’s lead to 8-2.
The Express blew it open with five runs in the seventh. Harris and Freeman recorded RBI singles and McKinney launched a bases-clearing triple moving the Round Rock advantage to 13-2.
Wallach added a solo home run in the top of the eighth and Foscue belted his second homer of the night in the ninth for a 15-2 lead.
Round Rock scored seven runs on six hits in the ninth inning highlighted by Harris’s three-run homer as he completed the cycle and the Express ran away with a 21-2 win.
E-TRAIN EXCERPTS:
HIT PARADE: Round Rock’s 26 hits in Wednesday’s win are tied for the most in all of Triple-A this year. It also marks the E-Train’s first five-homer game since September 24, 2023. All nine starters recorded multiple hits for a combined .481 (26-54) average on the night.
DUSTIN’S CYCLE: With his ninth inning three-run homer, OF Dustin Harris hit for the cycle in Wednesday’s win. Harris went 4-for-7 with five RBI and three runs en route to completing Round Rock’s first cycle since 1B Curtis Terry did it on June 18, 2021 against Oklahoma City.
FREEMAN ON FIRE: 3B Cody Freeman went 3-for-7 with a double, a home run, two RBI and three runs on Wednesday night. Freeman now has seven consecutive multi-hit games which is Round Rock’s longest streak since INF Rougned Odor posted an eight-game streak in 2015.
DICING ‘EM UP: For the fourth time this year the Round Rock pitching staff struck out 15 batters, which is just one shy of their season-best, when they struck out 16 on April 5.
