Isotopes Snap Losing Streak, Defeat Tacoma 7-3

The Isotopes recovered from their sweep by the Grizzlies, defeating the Tacoma Rainiers tonight, 7-3, from Cheney Stadium. The victory, coupled with the Salt Lake Bees loss, moves the Isotopes within 5.5 games of first place.

Isotopes infielder Ryan McMahon finished the night 2-for-5 with a home run, his seventh Triple-A long ball of the season. 
Designated hitter Jordan Patterson knocked home two runs on a night he went 3-for-4 at the dish, raising his season avergage to .259.
Outfielder Domonic Brown also connected on his third home run of the season for the Isotopes.
Isotopes starter Harrison Musgrave left the game after sustaining an injury in the second inning. The southpaw collided with catcher Anthony Bemboom on a pop up and immediately left the game. Musgrave allowed one run over his 1.2 innings on the mound.
Reliever Shane Carle took home the win, tossing 3.1 scoreless innings in relief of Musgrave.
The Isotopes and Raniers continue their series Saturday evening from Cheney Stadium. Left-hander Ryan Carpenter (3-6, 5.13) takes the hill for Albuquerque. First pitch from Tacoma is set for 8:05 p.m.
