CURVE, Pa. -- The Altoona Curve completed a walk-off, 4-3 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels in the first game of the day before falling 1-0 in the nightcap of a double-header on Wednesday at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
The Curve (57-58, 21-26) and Flying Squirrels (42-71, 19-27) started the twin bill with the completion of Tuesday night's suspended game and followed that with a seven-inning contest.
After rain and wet field conditions stopped play on Tuesday, the Curve and Flying Squirrels resumed play with no score in the bottom of the second inning on Wednesday. The game was tied, 3-3, leading into the 10th inning.
