Waddell stifles streaking SeaWolves

It was the third time in seven starts for the Curve (52-45, 17-13) that Waddell (Win, 3-1) faced the SeaWolves (52-44, 21-9) and all three times the left-hander held them scoreless in six innings of work. Waddell scattered four hits, did not walk a batter and struck out six to give him 28 strikeouts over his last four starts. He collected three of his six strikeouts in the first inning and retired the SeaWolves in order twice.
The Curve gave Waddell an early lead when they jumped on SeaWolves starter
Tolman, Sharpe and Pope each had two hits in the win. Tolman drove in two runs and scored one, Sharpe scored two runs and Pope reached base safely three times and scored a run as well.
The SeaWolves scored their only run of the night in the seventh.
The Curve and SeaWolves continue their four-game series with a double-header on Tuesday starting at 4:30 p.m. In game one, the Curve will turn to right-hander
