New to HODGETOWN, fans will now have the opportunity at every Sod Poodles home game this season to partake in a 50/50 raffle, a fundraiser where half of the proceeds goes to the Dave Elmore Sod Poodles Foundation, a fund created in the honor of the late owner of the Amarillo Sod Poodles’ managing partner, Elmore Sports Group. Those who donate are entered into a lottery where the fan with the winning ticket earns the other half of the total pot.
Fans must be 18 years or older to purchase a 50/50 raffle ticket. Tickets are only sold in certain quantities, but can be purchased for as low as $10 which yields five (5) different entries in the lottery. Regular pricing for 50/50 tickets will apply during games while Happy Hour pricing will apply between the time that early gates open and the scheduled time of first pitch for the game that day. Regular pricing and Happy Hour pricing information is listed below.
50/50 raffle tickets can be purchased at the dedicated 50/50 kiosk on the concourse behind home plate inside HODGETOWN on game days, or at the box office on game days if gates are not yet open. Additionally, fans can purchase 50/50 raffle tickets from 50/50 sellers who will be walking up and down aisles of the ballpark and roaming the Club Level during Sod Poodles games. Fans can also purchase 50/50 tickets online by scanning a QR code that will be available in the ballpark on game days.
If a fan buys a ticket with a winning number, they must present the physical receipt with the winning number to the 50/50 kiosk at the ballpark to claim their prize. Fans who purchase their tickets at the kiosk or from a 50/50 seller will receive a physical receipt that can be redeemed should they win the jackpot. Fans who purchase 50/50 tickets online will receive an email with their receipt. If the winner chooses to redeem their prize outside of gameday, they can redeem their winning ticket at the HODGETOWN Box Office. Winners have 30 days from the date of drawing to claim their prize.
Jackpots will be accumulated over multiple days. Every ticket purchased between the time early gates open for the Tuesday game of the particular homestand and the middle of the 7th inning of the Thursday game of the same homestand will go towards the first total jackpot of the week in which that homestand falls. The winning number for each jackpot will be drawn after the 7th inning on Thursday games. The second jackpot will start taking donations when early gates open for the Friday game and will be collected until the middle of the 7th inning of the Sunday game of that particular homestand. Winners will be announced in park and online HERE within 48 hours of the drawing. A detailed schedule is below and subject to change.
