The goal of the Reading With RUCKUS program presented by Intersect Power is to promote reading with students. The program is set up just like a baseball game; there are 9 innings which represent 9 books for students to read. Students in the program are encouraged to read books on their grade reading level and for each completed book, students will receive a prize from an inning sponsor. Once a student reads all 9 books, he or she will receive a free ticket to an Amarillo Sod Poodles baseball game in 2026! Bookmarks are provided to every student in the program and each participating classroom has a poster to keep track of the student's reading progress. Below is a list of the sponsors for each inning.

The Sod Pups Club package is $28 per member and is valid for the entire 2026 season at HODGETOWN. Sod Pups Club tickets and materials pickup date will be scheduled in March before the start of the season.
