Columbia, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, won 5-3 against the Columbia Fireflies on Friday night.

The game started as a pitchers' duel between John Gavin for Augusta and Zac Grotz for Columbia. The Fireflies added one run in the bottom of the second inning, as the score would stay 1-0 until the sixth inning. That is when momentum would shift to the GreenJackets dugout.
With Nick Hill on a first base, Heliot Ramos would hit his eighth home run of the season. This would give the GreenJackets a 2-1 lead. Then in the top of the seventh inning, RBI singles from Hill and Ismael Munguia would add two more, along with a run scored by Logan Baldwin on a passed ball. Augusta would extend their lead to 5-1.
Columbia would get two back in the bottom of the seventh inning, but that was it for their comeback. The GreenJackets pulled off the 5-3 victory to win game two of the series.
On the mound for the GreenJackets, John Gavin was once again fantastic. Gavin would go six inning only giving up one hit and one run. He would go on to strikeout nine Fireflies.
