Legends Take Game One Over GreenJackets

Lexington Wins 18-3

Lexington, KY: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, lost 18-3 to the Lexington Legends on Monday night.


The GreenJackets got out to a quick start by putting up one run in the bottom of the first inning. A single from Heliot Ramos would score Logan Baldwin to put the GreenJackets up 1-0. After that the Legends would put up seven runs over the next three innings to take control of the game.


In the top of the fourth inning, Trevor Abrams would hit his first home run as a GreenJacket. His solo shot would bring the score to 7-2 Legends. Lexington would continue to pile on runs over the next three innings to expand their lead to 15 runs. In the end, the GreenJackets would drop the game, 18-3.


The GreenJackets will be back in action tomorrow night against the Legends at 7:05 pm.


After the four-game road trip the GreenJackets will return to SRP Park for a five-game series with the Columbia Fireflies. We will be kicking off Fan Appreciation weekend with many giveaways and prizes! On Saturday night, we will have the Human Cannonball Show.
