Bisons tally late to edge Chiefs 8-6

Buffalo then added an insurance run when the speedy Fields came home on Chritian Lopes' grounder to short.
The other six runs scored by the Herd all came in the same inning. Buffalo sent 11 batters to the plate in the third to erase an early 3-0 Chiefs lead.
"This team is determined to have a good day. They always go out there and play hard," said manager Bobby Meacham.
The victory snapped a four-game losing streak for the Herd as the club was swept over the weekend in Lehigh Valley.
The game featured 15 hits and 14 total runs between both teams.
The Bisons and the Chiefs will continue the series Tuesday night at Coca-Cola Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
BISONS NOTES: The Bisons were hit by a pitch three times in the game, two of which came at the expense of right fielder Ian Parmley…Roemon Fields finished the game 2-4 with a pair of RBI, extending his hit streak to nine games…Darrell Ceciliani also went 2-4 with an RBI.
