The Toronto Blue Jays today announced that they have signed INF STEVE TOLLESON to a minor league contract with an invitation to Major League spring training.
TOLLESON, 30, spent all of 2103 with the Charlotte Knights and hit .288 (113-392) with 28 doubles, eight home runs, 53 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 116 games. The infielder has also spent time with the Norfolk Tides and Rochester Red Wings in his Triple-A career and is a lifetime .283 hitter in the minor leagues. Tolleson made his Major League debut with Oakland in 2010 and also saw time with the Baltimore Orioles in 2012. In 54 big league games, he has averaged .225 (27-120) with three home runs and 10 RBI.
