After its historic victory at the end of the 2017, Celery is racing no more. While the fan-favorite will still be a part of the Bisons gameday experience -wait until you check out the new 'One Celery Place'- the stalky, green competitor will NOT be at the start line on Opening Day.
And so, that leaves us with on major question… who can replace the legend?
After an off-season filled with rumors and speculation, the answer will finally come on Opening Day, Thursday, April 12 as the Bisons host the Indianapolis Indians (2:05 p.m.).
Will it be Pizza, or Chicken Finger, or Pierogi. Beef on Weck or Sponge Candy? Oh, the drama!!!!

Opening Day, presented by Falken Tires, will also include a 2018 Bisons Magnetic Schedule giveaway to all fans in attendance.
The new WCC Character will be one of 10 possibilities. Bisons fans submitted many great suggestions during the off-season, then voted on the top 10 names on Bisons.com. The finalists were:
- BBQ
- Beef on Weck
- Carrot
- Chicken Finger
- Fish Fry
- Pierogi
- Pizza
- Ranch
- Sponge Candy
- Wet Nap
So many good choices, but only one will race in Celery's place on Opening Day. Find out Who's In on April 12.
