The Buffalo Bisons today announced that RHP SHAWN HILL has been promoted to the club from Double-A New Hampshire. The Bisons also announced that OF RICARDO NANITA has been placed on the temporarily inactive list.
HILL, 33, signed with the Blue Jays on March 24 and made two starts for New Hampshire, with a 0-1 record and a 4.15 ERA (13.0 IP, 8 H, 6 SO). Hill suffered the defeat in his last outing despite allowing just two runs on three hits in a complete-game on May 1 against Trenton (second game of doubleheader).
Hill spent all of 2012 with the Toledo Mud Hens where he was 4-14 with a 5.51 ERA in 26 starts (150.1 IP, 191 H, 84 SO). This is his second stint in the Blue Jays organization as he signed with Toronto, 2010-2012. He made five total appearances with Toronto during that time and went 9-2 with a 4.52 ERA in 15 starts with Triple-A Las Vegas in 2012.
