Just in the nick of time... Superhero Night is here to save the weekend!!!
There's no need to send a distress signal out into the sky, Superhero Night returns Saturday, August 17 (6:05 p.m.) as the Bisons host the Durham Bulls, presented by Niagara County Community College.

It's one of the must-attend events of the summer as we welcome all the superhero kids of WNY and Southern Ontario to protect Sahlen Field from the forces of Durham! 
The fun begins at a special time as Ballpark Gates open at 4:00 p.m. so that fans can meet and get their pictures taken with all of their favorite Superhero Characters & Villains from the Superhero Alliance of WNY. Our heroes will be located throughout the ballpark, including the club level, so make sure you find them all! Kids are also encouraged to come dress as their favorite characters!
Then, when the game starts at 6:05 p.m., settle in for the action on the field and on the Bisons Scoreboard! As the Bisons and Bulls battle for playoff positioning between the lines, the Storyline of Good vs. Bad and control of the ballpark will also be played out on the scoreboard with Special Superhero Videos.

Which of course brings us to the next battle on the field! After the Bisons and Bulls do their thing, the Superhero Characters will duel it out with a Postgame On-Field Battle. After which, everyone gets to enjoy one of the largest Fireworks Show of the season!

 

Superhero Night FAN GUIDE

First Pitch/Gates

First pitch is at 6:05 p.m. but gates will open at 4pm because of all of the additional activities throughout Sahlen Field. If you plan to use ballpark Will Call, it's also not a bad idea to leave a few minutes earlier to avoid longer lines. The Sahlen Field Box Office will be open on Saturday starting at noon. You might even see some Superheros before you enter the ballpark.

Entering Ballpark/Security

With increased security and the addition of walkthrough metal detectors (click here for full security measures) please note the following: Only official Superhero Alliance members or volunteers are allowed to be in full costume. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Superhero while adults will be asked to remove any masks or helmets covering their faces.

Where do I get a cape or shield?

There will be TWO REDEMPTION CENTERS at stand 121 on the 3rd base side and near section 122 on the 1st base side. A Shield or Cape cost $10 each with proceeds to benefit the Superhero 5K Race which benefits the Mental Health Association and Compeer of Greater Buffalo.

I bought a 4-Pack. Where do I get food?

You can get your Sahlen's hot dog and Coca-Cola in the concourse area near Section 106, as well as any full service stand where Sahlen's hot dogs are sold on the 3rd or 1st base side of the ballpark.

Meet the Characters

50 Characters from the Superhero Alliance of Western New York will be appearing throughout the night and will be available for pictures throughout Sahlen Field in addition to One Celery Place near section 104. Characters will be available from 4:00pm up until the 7th inning. outwit the crowd by heading to the Club Level first as characters will be all over Sahlen Field

Superhero Storyline

An Alliance is born…see the beginning of the Superhero Alliance as they come together to save Raven from the evil Red Skull and Thanos. Follow the action between innings on the BisonsTV HD scoreboard beginning in the top of the 5th inning and get ready for an amazing on field battle and fireworks show after the game.
