Jays recall Dominguez, option Hutchison

Dominguez led the Bisons with 14 RBI

The Blue Jays have announced that they have recalled 3B MATT DOMINGUEZ from the Buffalo Bisons. To make roster room, the Blue Jays have optioned RHP DREW HUTCHISON to the Herd.

Dominguez has hit .311 (19-61) with four doubles, two home runs and a team-high 14RBI in 17 games with the Bisons this season. He leaves the Bisons on an eight-game hit streak that has included five multi-hit performances. Since April 17, Dominguez has averaged .484 (15-31) with 11 RBI and a .806 slugging pct. The 2015 Rawlings Gold Glove winner at third base, he has started 13 games for the Herd at third and four (including three of his last four games) at first base.

Hutchison was promoted to the Blue Jays for a spot start on Sunday. He defeated the Oakland A's with 5.2 innings of two-run baseball. The Bisons Opening Day starter, Hutchison is 0-1 with a 4.11 ERA in three starts with Buffalo this season. He leads the team with 20 strikeouts.
