McGuire, Rogers, Jimenez added to Herd

Bibens-Dirkx and Murphy transferred to Double-A

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that RHP DECK McGUIRE and C A.J. JIMENEZ have been added to the team's roster from Double-A New Hampshire. RHP ESMIL ROGERS has also cleared waivers and has been outrighted to the Bisons. McGuire will start for the Bisons tonight against the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field (6:05 p.m.).

The Bisons also announced that RHP AUSTIN BIBENS-DIRKX and C JACK MURPHY have been transferred to New Hampshire.

McGUIRE, 24, has made 10 starts for New Hampshire this year and is 3-4 with a 2.98 ERA. He has allowed 58 hits in 60.1 innings of work with 17 walks and 47 strikeouts. In his last outing with the Fisher Cats, McGuire set season highs with nine strikeouts in eight innings in a no-decision on May 20 against Reading (4 H, R, ER, 2 BB).

McGuire was 9-10 with a 4.86 ERA in 26 starts for New Hampshire in 2013. He ranked 2nd in the Eastern League with 157.1 innings of work and 4th with 143 strikeouts.

ROGERS, 28, has made 16 relief appearances for the Blue Jays this season. He has posted a 6.97 ERA while allowing 28 hits in 20.2 innings of work (7 BB, 21 SO). He was designated for assignment by Toronto on Friday. Last season, Rogers was 5-9 with a 4.77 ERA in 44 games and 20 game starts for the Blue Jays (137.2 IP, 152 H, 44 BB, 96 SO).

JIMENEZ, 24, has placed 25 games for the Fisher Cats this season and has averaged .223 (21-94) with eight doubles, a home run and 13 RBI. He also missed 12 games on New Hampshire's disabled list with a hamstring injury, April 5-21. Jimenez played eight games with the Bisons last season and hit .233 (7-30) with a double.

Bibens-Dirkx was 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 10 games and one start for the Bisons. He allowed 16 hits while striking out 19 in 18.0 innings of work. Murphy has posted a .206 (7-34) average with three doubles and two RBI in 11 games with Buffalo this season.
