In what could only be described as a leisurely stroll, the Bisons left field touch the plate to score the winning run in a wild, 7-6, Bisons victory over the Bats on Friday night at Sahlen Field.
A 'walk-off' win in name only, Biggio was able to slowly trot home when Bats catcher and former Bison Juan Graterol couldn't handle a pitch by reliever, Anthony Bass. As the ball ricocheted towards the Bisons dugout, the Louisville backstop never moved, giving Biggio more than enough time to trot home for the winning run.

The bottom of the ninth began with the Bisons and Bats tied at six following a two-run shot by Teoscar Hernández in the eighth. Biggio led off the frame with a sharp double over the shift and into the right field corner. He was mobbed by his teammates a few seconds later as he advanced to third on a botched pickoff attempt before scoring on the bizarre passed ball on the very next pitch.
The crazy finish was appropriate for a game loaded with quirks. The Bats scored the first three runs of the game without the benefit of a single hit. Louisville used three walks, two Herd errors and a hit by pitch to take a 3-0 lead in the third inning. The Bats also scored an unearned run in the eighth and had just three hits game, despite scoring six times.
Buffalo's first run of the contest was uneared as well. A fielding error on Lourdes Gurriel Jr.'s grounder in the third kept the inning alive for Biggio to plate Patrick Cantwell with a beautifully placed two-out bunt single.
Trailing 5-1, the Herd's bats continued in the fourth, starting with a walk by Alen Hanson. Jordan Patterson followed suit with a double before Hansen scored on a Patrick Cantwell single. Chipping away at the deficit some more, Anthony Alford connected on a 3-2 pitch for a single right to allow Patterson to score. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. closed the lead to one as he also singled on a 3-2 bringing in Cantwell.

Just optioned by Toronto on Thursday, Hernandez blasted a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to tie the game at six.

Reid-Foley settled down after a rough first few innings, retiring 11 of the last 12 batters he faced. Tayler Saucedo earned the win for Buffalo by tossing an inning of scoreless relief. He is now 3-0 on the season.
