While Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a home run that left McCoy Stadium and entered twitter feeds across the country, the PawSox rallied from seven runs down to defeat the Bisons, 11-8, Wednesday night from Rhode Island.
Buffalo led 7-0 before Pawtucket came to the plate and had a 7-4 lead in the fourth when Guerrero Jr. hit what is his most impressive home run at the Triple-A level. The top prospect in all of baseball sent a first-pitch fastball from PawSox reliever Bobby Poyner down the left field line in out of the ballpark. Not only that, there was a Pawtucket fan in the parking lot beyond the bullpen beyond the left field wall who could only be seen pointing well beyond the parking lot presumably to wear the baseball finally came to a rest.

As you could expect, footage of the prestigious blast quickly became the rage on social media. By the time the Bisons game ended, the video had received over 225,000 views.
However, the game did not end how the Bisons would've wanted it. Three-run triples by both Richard Ureña and Bo Bichette in the first inning helped the Herd build a 7-0 lead and Guerrero Jr.'s homer made it 8-4 in the fourth. But the top prospect in the Red Sox system, infielder Michael Chavis, answered with a two-run homer of his own in the seventh inning to make it an 8-6 contest.
Then in the eighth, the PawSox scored five times against Herd closer, Danny Barnes, doing to Buffalo what the Bisons had accomplished the night before in their doubleheader sweep. Triple-A veteran Gorkys Hernández singled home a run and was one of two PawSox that scored on Tzu-Wei Lin's double to center that gave Pawtucket their first lead of the game. Sam Travis added the insurance with a two-run grounder up the middle for the 11-8 victory over the Bisons.

Sean Reid-Foley started for the Bisons and allowed four runs over five innings of work with six strikeouts. Guerrero Jr. finished the game 2-4 with a pair of runs scored.
The Bisons are off on Thursday before a three-game in two-day series against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. The team has added a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. poster giveaway to their Honda fridaynightbash! with Fireworks. Check out what's on tap this weekend at Sahlen Field.
