ABC's of Segra Park

Welcome to Segra Park, home of your Columbia Fireflies! As you plan your trip to Segra Park for either an event or a Fireflies game, please check out the alphabetical guide regarding stadium information and policies below. If you have any questions about any of the below policies, or your questions were not answered below, you can contact the Fireflies Front Office by calling 803-726-4487 or emailing the Fireflies at [email protected].

A

ADDRESS
Segra Park is located in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. The address is: 1640 Freed Street, Columbia, SC 29201.

ALCOHOL MANAGEMENT
No alcoholic beverages may be brought into Segra Park. South Carolina law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. Therefore, guests will be required to show proper identification and proof of age to receive a wristband before purchasing or consuming alcoholic beverages at Segra Park. All sales of alcohol will cease in the middle of the 8th inning (sales may be cut off earlier at the discretion of Segra Park management). Only two alcoholic beverages are allowed per person, per purchase. Guests may not take any alcoholic beverages out of the ballpark. Alcohol consumption is prohibited in the parking lots.

BATTING PRACTICE
Batting practice times vary based on home and visiting team schedules. On most days, batting practice will conclude prior to the opening of the Segra Park gates (which open 1 hour before game time).

C

CASHLESS BALLPARK

Segra Park is a fully cashless facility. Eliminating the exchange of cash limits person to person contact and keeps all Fireflies fans and staff members safe. All major credit cards will be accepted at every point of sale at Segra Park, including at the Duke's Investigations Fireflies Ticket Office, at the Mason Jar Team Store, in the parking lots and at all concession stands.

Fans who bring cash will, at any point during the game, be able to convert that into Fireflies Gift Cards at the Dukes Investigations Guest Services Kiosk, which is located on the concourse behind home plate. Gift Cards will be available in increments of $5 and will not have an expiration date.

CLEAR BAG POLICY

The Fireflies Clear Bag Policy closely matches those already in place at all NFL stadiums and many NCAA sporting events. This policy also closely matches the policy in place for all Gamecock sporting events and concerts at Colonial Life Arena. Under the policy, each fan is allowed to bring one clear bag into Segra Park. Backpacks and diaper bags are NOT permitted inside Segra Park. Please click HERE to see the full list of permitted and non-permitted items plus other restrictions. The Clear Bag Policy is in place to provide a safer environment at events and should significantly expedite fan entry into Segra Park.

COOLERS, CONTAINERS & OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGE

In accordance with Major League Baseball guidelines, outside food, beverages and containers are prohibited from Segra Park. Exceptions will be allowed for infants and for those people with special dietary needs. All bags are subject to search.

CONCESSIONS

Segra Park has four main concession stands located around the main concourse, serving traditional ballpark favorites including hot dogs, burgers and more. Multiple specialty carts are spaced throughout the concourse, including Low-N-Slow BBQ, El Toro’s, the Philly Cart and Juanathan’s Street Tacos. Specialty food carts also feature Ice Cream, Popcorn, Dippin’ Dots and fresh funnel cake. There are three full-service bars at the stadium, including the Budweiser Bowtie Bar in Centerfield. Segra Park also boasts a variety of great domestic and craft beers (more than 50 choices nightly), featuring both local, regional and national craft favorites from River Rat, Wicked Weed, Columbia Craft, Elysian and more.

In premium seating sections including Club Seats, Bullpen Boxes and Scout Seats, mobile food ordering is in place and allows fans to order food and drinks which are brought directly to them by Fireflies staff.

SERVICE ANIMALS

In accordance with SC law, service animals are allowed at Segra Park at all times. The law requires that a service animal be trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with one or more of the following types of disabilities:

  • physical
  • sensory
  • psychiatric
  • intellectual, or
  • other mental disability.

Tasks that service dogs provide as listed by the state of South Carolina include the following:

  • pulling a wheelchair
  • retrieving objects
  • providing physical support and assistance with balance and stability to an individual with a mobility disability
  • reminding an individual with a mental illness to take prescribed medications
  • calming an individual with post-traumatic stress disorder during an anxiety attack, and
  • doing other specific work or performing other special tasks.

All service animals must be in compliance with SC law and the ADA. All animals need to be immunized and vaccinated as appropriate. All vaccinations must be current, and animals must be in good health. Service animals must wear an owner identification tag (which includes the name and phone number of the owner) at all times. Animals must be on a leash, harness or other type of restraint at all times, unless the owner is unable to retain an animal on leash due to a disability. The owner must be in full control of the animal at all times. The care and supervision of the animal is solely the responsibility of the owner. The owner is expected to clean and dispose of all animal waste appropriately.

The service animal may be asked to leave if the animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it or the animal is not housebroken. This may include reactive behavior/biting other patrons etc. The owner will still be afforded the opportunity to obtain goods or services without the animal’s presence.

Though psychiatric and mental disability is listed in the law, this is different than an emotional support animal. Emotional support animals are not trained to complete specific tasks like service animals. Emotional Support animals are not allowed at Segra Park.
