Brad was born and raised in Richmond, Indiana and graduated from Taylor University. He joined the Fireflies team in July of 2015 and has enjoyed being able to help bring Minor League Baseball back to Columbia and watching the BullStreet District transform into a thriving entertainment district! Before making his way south, he started his baseball career as an intern for the Richmond Roosters, and after a year away from baseball, he found his way back to Minor League Baseball in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Over 13 seasons with the Fort Wayne Wizards/TinCaps, Brad went from a Group Sales Representative to the Director of Group Sales, and eventually Vice President of Ticket Sales. He brings the experience of helping open award-winning Parkview Field, ranked as the #1 Minor League Ballpark experience in the country multiple times.

Brad is joined in Columbia by his beautiful wife, Kelly and their son Callan (Cal), along with their Mini Bernedoodle, Clark. A Buckeye fan at heart, Brad enjoys watching college football and relishes the challenge of living in SEC country! When he isn't at the ballpark, Brad enjoys running and any outdoor activity. Brad’s family attends Shandon Baptist Church and he is actively involved in Baseball Chapel and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Brad is also a board member for The Therapy Place, Katrina’s Kids and Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands along with being an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina.

Kevin enters his first season as Chief Revenue Officer for the Columbia Fireflies. In his role, Duplaga leads Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, Ticket Sales and Operations, Suites, Premium Seating, and in stadium guest experience. Duplaga formerly worked with the Miami HEAT as Director of Ticket Sales Training & Development. He also held roles as Director of Ticket Sales and Group Sales Manager while working with the Miami HEAT for 13 years. Additionally, Duplaga worked with the Portland Trail Blazers front office as a Group Sales Representative for three years. Duplaga has a sports management degree from Wilmington College. As luck would have it, Duplaga got his start in professional sports working with Team President Brad Shank with the Richmond Roosters and Fort Wayne Wizards. He and his wife Michelle live in Chapin, South Carolina with their son Chase.

Katie, was born and raised in Gilbert SC, and attended University of South Carolina. She was a registered behavior technician before becoming a corporate recruiter. She joined Columbia Fireflies in 2018 and passed her SHRM-CP in June of 2021.

Jason was born and raised in Farmer, Ohio and a 2000 graduate of Defiance College. He has been with the Fireflies since game #1, working the first four seasons as a member of the Grounds Crew prior to his new position with the team. When not at Segra Park, you can find Jason on the golf course, fishing on Lake Murray, or rooting on his favorite teams the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and The Ohio State University Buckeyes

John joins the Fireflies after spending a season with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Born and raised in the Commonwealth of Virginia, John attended Churchland High School in Portsmouth, VA where he lettered in football and wrestling before graduating in 2006. John would go on to attend the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA majoring in English and Sociology. He would further his studies at Regent University obtaining a BA in English and Communications and a master’s degree in Journalism.

In his spare time, John enjoys watching TV and movies, writing, and going to the gym. He is an avid fan of the New York Knicks, New York Mets and Dallas Cowboys.

John Kocsis, Jr. is entering his fifth season as the Broadcasting/Media Relations Manager for the Columbia Fireflies. The Cleveland native journeyed to the Palmetto State from Hagerstown, where he was the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Suns in 2019. He spent the 2018 season as the Manager of In-Game Entertainment and the Broadcast/Media Relations assistant for The West Virginia Power after serving as the Video Production Intern for the Team in 2017. Kocsis's baseball experience also includes two seasons as the Director of Broadcasting for the Southern Ohio Copperheads of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League.

John graduated from Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in 2016. The lefty grew up rooting for the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers, as well as the Anaheim Ducks.

Savannah, a Columbia native, has been with the Columbia Fireflies since 2022, starting with an internship and transitioning to full-time in October 2023. With a deep love for sports and a drive to enhance her hometown’s sports culture, Savannah has embraced her role in video production. She brings fresh ideas and energy to her work, aiming to capture the essence of team spirit that connects fans for life. Her journey exemplifies dedication to her community and passion for sports.

Nick was born and raised in Maryland and is a graduate from the University of South Carolina. He joined the Fireflies team in January of 2018 and is also an adjunct professor at USC. He resides in Lexington, South Carolina with his wife and son.

Originally from Belmar, NJ, Matt graduated high school in Billings, MT and attended the University of South Carolina to pursue a degree in Sport Management, where he graduated in 2022. During college, Matt spent a season with the Fireflies as a Sales and Ticketing Operations Intern before being moved to full time in October of 2022.

When he isn't selling tickets, Matt likes going to Gamecocks football games and playing pickup basketball.

Born and raised in Mount Pleasant, SC, Ian Piihl started as an Account Manager of Ticket Sales with the Columbia Fireflies in 2025. Ian is a proud December 2024 graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he earned his B.S. in Sport Management and developed a passion for creating unforgettable experiences through sports and events.

During his time at USC, Ian gained hands-on experience working with the Charleston RiverDogs, the Master’s Golf Tournament, USC Volleyball and Track & Field programs, and served as the Vice President of Events for Carolina Productions.

When he’s not at Segra Park helping groups create unforgettable experiences, you can find Ian walking the Riverwalk, trying new restaurants, watching sports, or cheering on his Gamecocks at USC athletic events. This season, he’s most looking forward to being a guest Fly Guy, bringing the swagger, and helping fans make lasting memories at the ballpark.

David was raised in Brentwood New York and moved to Lexington, South Carolina in 2012. Shortly after that David got married in 2014. He and his wife celebrated the birth of their son in 2016.

In 2020 David joined the Fireflies, just before the “Season that never was”. He brings with him over 15 years of food and beverage experience in everything from, small restaurants to giant banquet facilities.

In his free time David enjoys cooking and spending time with his family. He loves to entertain, and never wants anyone to leave his house hungry.

Hi, my name is Matt, but you can call me Matty-Ice. Most of the time you can find me whippin' around the stadium on our concourse scrubber, which is known to me as Scrubby McScrubbface. I often jokingly pretend to try to run over my coworkers with it but as it moves about 4 mph I can never catch them. Makes me giggle though.

My favorite past-time is pressure washing and I am known to sing along to the music in my headphones as I walk through the office. People always compliment me on my singing voice.

In my free time I love to spy on my two dogs through our nanny cam. I am a huge wine connoisseur and for some reason I am a New York Rangers fan.

Tyler was raised in Montauk, New York and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he majored in Sport and Entertainment Management. While at the University of South Carolina, he became a founding member of USC’s first Sport and Entertainment Professional Fraternity. After graduation he fulfilled his full-time internship with the Fireflies in 2019.

His favorite sports teams are the New York Yankees and New York Rangers. In his free time he likes to play hockey, watch The Office, Brooklyn 99, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. His favorite foods are wings, ribs, and any kind of steak. His favorite musical artist is Mac Miller. He is not superstitious, he is just a little stitious.
