"Baltimore Baseball & Barbecue with Boog Powell: Stories from the Orioles' Smokey Slugger" is the second book from the Orioles' star. Powell now operates his famous barbecue joint with two locations, one at Camden Yards and another on the Ocean City Boardwalk. The book includes interviews with former teammates such as Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson and Jim Palmer.

John "Boog" Powell played 16 seasons in the major leagues, including 13 seasons with the Baltimore Orioles. With Baltimore, Powell was a four-time All-Star first baseman, as well as winning the 1970 AL Most Valuable Player Award.
