This season, the Delmarva Shorebirds have teamed up with Pohanka of Salisbury to honor our military each and every Shorebirds game this season! As part of this commitment, at select games this season the Shorebirds will honor a Hometown Hero where fans can nominate military members in our community to be featured on the videoboard and receive two (2) free tickets to the Shorebirds game.
To nominate a Hometown Hero, all you have to do is follow the steps below. From there, a Shorebirds staff member will reach out to the winners to schedule a date for you and the Hometown Hero to attend a Shorebirds game!
- Visit the Hometown Hero Page Presented by Pohanka of Salisbury on the Shorebirds Fan Contest Page by clicking the button above
- Click enter and create an account (if needed) or sign in to your Shorebirds Fan Compass Account
- Fill out the appropriate information and attach a photo of your Hometown Hero that you want shown on the videoboard
- Please make sure to note any game dates that you would like to attend as the Shorebirds will try to best accommodate if selected
- Get to the Shorebirds game early to see your Hometown Hero presented by Pohanka of Salisbury featured on the videoboard
Please note: Due to the high influx of submissions, the Delmarva Shorebirds and Pohanka of Salisbury can not guarantee that your Hometown Hero will be selected or make it on the videoboard during a Shorebirds game this season.
