SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds open the second half of the season with a six game homestand at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium that runs from Thursday, June 21st through Tuesday, June 26th. The homestand includes a three game series against the Kannapolis Intimidators (affiliate of the Chicago White Sox) and a three game series with the Hagerstown Suns (affiliate of the Washington Nationals).
The Shorebirds kick off the homestand on Thursday, June 21st with an orange and gray hat giveaway to the first 500 fans through the gates, presented by Spicer Bros. Construction, Inc. It's also KISS 95.9 Thirsty Thursday, presented by University Village at Salisbury. Fans over the age of 21 can enjoy 16 oz. cans of Miller Lite and Coors Light; as well as, Pepsi fountain drinks for $2 each. The Shorebirds will be wearing their Maryland Pride Jerseys so be sure to show your support by wearing your own Maryland Pride gear. Gates open at 6:00 PM with first pitch against the Kannapolis Intimidators scheduled for 7:05 PM.
90's night is on Friday, June 22nd with a special appearance from Dennis Haskins, AKA Principal Belding from Saved By The Bell. Fans will be able to interact with, get an autograph, or get a picture taken with Mr. Belding on the second level concourse during a portion of the game. It's also Froggy 99.9 Big Beer Friday where fans over the age of 21 can enjoy 32 oz. Miller Lite and Coors Light drafts for $6 each. The Shorebirds will be sporting their Orange Friday jerseys so show your support by wearing orange, as well. Gates open at 6:00 PM with first pitch against Kannapolis Intimidators scheduled for 7:05 PM.
On Saturday, June 23rd, the first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a Shorebirds team photo, presented by the Delaware State Fair. In addition, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will also receive a general admission ticket to the Delaware State Fair. All fans will have an opportunity to win Delaware State Fair concert tickets throughout the game. Make sure to stick around after the game for a fantastic Q105 fireworks, presented by Hudson Health Services, Inc.
Gates open at 4:00 PM for fans to watch Shorebirds and Intimidators batting practice on Saturday, June 23rd. Along with the opportunity to watch batting practice, happy hour discounts on beverages and snack items will be available at the Pizza Stand located on the first level concourse behind home plate. From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, fans can purchase slices of pizza and small popcorn for $1 each. Draft beers can be purchased by fans age 21 or older for $5 each. Inflatable games will be free of charge from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, as well. Also, two Shorebirds players will be available to sign autographs in the Flock Shop before each Saturday home game from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM. First pitch against the Kannapolis Intimidators is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
The Hagerstown Suns come to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium for a three game series starting on Sunday, June 24th. It's a Perdue Strike Out Hunger Sunday. Bring 2 canned food items to the Shorebirds box office and receive an upper reserved ticket for $3. All collected items will be donated to the local area food banks. Kids can run the bases after the game, presented by Chili's Grill & Bar. This game is the second of five games that are included in the Shorebirds' Kids Club membership, presented by Maryland Excels. Monday, June 25th is 47 ABC 2 Buck Monday, presented by Wicomico Heating & Air Conditioning. Fans can enjoy upper reserved tickets, hotdogs, and fountain Pepsi products for $2 each. Gates open at 6:00 PM with first pitch against the Hagerstown Suns scheduled for 7:05 PM.
On Tuesday, June 26th, the Delmarva Shorebirds will be hosting a ticket amnesty night. This means that fans can redeem any unused ticket from a previous game during the 2018 season for an upper reserved ticket for the Shorebirds game on Tuesday, June 26th. This game is included in our Silver Sluggers membership for Shorebirds fans that are age 55 and up, presented by Peninsula Home Care. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will be able to play Baseball Bingo, presented by Peninsula Home Care. Gates open at 6:00 PM with first pitch against the Hagerstown Suns scheduled for 7:05 PM.
